EXPAT SERVICES

Living in a new country can be deeply enriching—and emotionally complex. As a mental health professional, I specialize in supporting expats and internationally mobile individuals and families as they navigate the psychological and emotional realities of life abroad.

Many people who move to another country experience a mix of excitement, grief, growth, and disorientation all at once. Being far from family and long-standing support systems can bring up feelings of loneliness, guilt, or homesickness, even when the move was intentional and positive. Adjusting to a new culture, language, and social norms can challenge one’s sense of identity, belonging, and confidence. Parents may find themselves balancing their own adjustment while supporting their children through cultural transitions, schooling changes, and questions of “where do we belong?

I work with individuals and families to help them feel grounded, understood, and supported as they integrate their past, present, and evolving sense of self. My approach honors both the challenges and the resilience that come with choosing—or needing—to build a life across borders.
